We have been working with chainmail hoods since 2012, fully custom-made to the client’s preferences and the best cost-benefit ratio. Ideal for both cosplayers and reenactment fighters.

Ring size: The smaller the ring size (mm), the tighter the chainmail will be! In the photo, the hoods have 10mm rings.

Ring thickness: The thicker the ring, the heavier but more durable the chainmail will be. The standard is usually 1.6mm.

Types of material: We work with butted chainmail in the following materials:

Nickel-plated Steel (Cosplay or decoration only)
Ideal for cosplayers as it is lighter
Shiny

Galvanized Steel (Real combat)
Ideal for real fights as it is more resistant
Matte gray color
May darken over time, which adds a more historical appearance
