CARE AND TIPS
ZAMAC / NICKEL STEEL PIECES
These pieces are made with a metal alloy base called Zamac (composed of ZINC, ALUMINUM, MAGNESIUM, and COPPER). Some of our pieces receive a thin layer of precious metals such as gold, nickel, and graphite. Therefore, they do not fall under the semi-jewelry category but rather high-end fashion jewelry. Regarding the plating, all pieces receive a high-protection Italian varnish with exceptional hardness, aiming to preserve the finish, extend durability, and slow oxidation.
- Remove your jewelry before applying perfumes and cosmetics, and wait a few minutes before putting them back on.
- Avoid getting your pieces wet and always remove them before showering. If they do get wet, dry them immediately.
- Avoid direct contact with cleaning products and similar substances.
- Be cautious with hair treatments such as straightening and dyeing, as these contain strong chemicals that can stain or damage your jewelry if they come into contact with your hair.
- Store your pieces in individual jewelry pouches to prevent contact and friction with other items, thus reducing wear and tear.
- Keep your jewelry in dry, moisture-free places, as humidity can cause darkening.
- Individuals with high levels of uric acid in their bodies may experience quicker darkening of their pieces.
STAINLESS STEEL PIECES
Stainless steel is a metal that does not oxidize and is entirely hypoallergenic, allowing for safer use in contact with water and chemicals. However, care should be taken to avoid friction with other metals, as scratches may reduce the piece’s shine.
- Cleaning and maintaining stainless steel jewelry is simple: use water and mild soap.
